I’m Donna Bordeaux with Campground Accounting. I want to talk to you about an interesting thing that I see now. One of my big pet peeves it’s micro trash. All right. Let’s explain what micro trash is. It’s all that little crap that floats around. So maybe it’s a gum wrapper. Maybe it’s a bottle cap. It’s little itty-bitty pieces of trash. When you opened a granola bar and that little corner falls off that’s micro trash. When I see a lot of micro trash, specifically in a parking lot area or on a sidewalk area, it tells me somebody doesn’t care. I walked into a convenience store a few weeks ago, and their parking lot, just walking from the gas pump in was just atrocious. There was little itty-bitty trash pieces. Now I’m not saying they dump their garbage across the parking lot, but these little itty bitty pieces of trash, they blow in the wind.
I know you can’t fix it. You can’t make this not happen, but the care that you take to maintain your image with your park, your parking lot, your RV sites, all of this micro trash can ruin the whole image. So make sure that you’re taking care of that as well. It shows you care and believe it or not. If you look at a parking lot that has this trash in it, and then you look at a parking lot, that’s cleaned up and doesn’t have this. You’ll see the difference. So take note and I hope this helps you provide a better experience to your guests. I’m Donna Bordeaux with Campground Accounting.
