November 9, 2021
If you’ve been waiting a long time for your employee retention credit for 2020, things are starting to move a little bit, depending on when you filed. We initially filed amended returns for 941 in March of 2021. And we are just starting to see a few of those refunds get issues.
So it’s taking probably about seven to eight months to see those refunds come about. To give you a little guideline if you’re still waiting to. If you haven’t applied for your refund and you think you’re eligible for the employee retention credit, I’d be happy to talk with you and see if we can help you get in the lineup to get your refund process.
We have a little more information now in the rules have changed slightly, but we’d be happy to help you get those inflight. And for those of you who are still waiting, check when you filed and add about eight months to that, and that’s when you can expect it. We pull transcripts routinely for our clients to make sure that we see those returns being processed or at least recorded that they were received. And we’re now starting to see some movement. So watch for checks in the mail folks.
