Advertise Internet

You’ve heard me talk about the internet in your park before. When you look at your internet speeds, consider that many people who are coming to visit you may be working from the road or homeschooling, road schooling their children at your park. Make sure you have decent internet so they can get their work done and have time left to enjoy family and friends and not be frustrated by the internet.

I recently got an email from Mountain Falls, located in Lake Toxaway, North Carolina. Mountain Falls Resort has a monthly email that I received from them. It talks about what’s happening in their park and upcoming events. I always enjoy seeing it hit my inbox, and I read it each time. We’ve talked about Mountain Falls before, and they were the ones who had the package of information about the things to do and restaurants and things to see that they sent out before you arrived at their park so you could review their activities.

But onto the internet, in this month’s email from Mountain Falls, they tout their high-speed internet. They offer unlimited internet access to all of their guests. And if you’ve ever been there, this is an area where a cell phone signal is a rare occurrence. There’s not much going on with cell signals in the middle of the mountains, and they are high upon the top of a ridge and down in the valley and the other part of the park.

So mountain falls have high-speed internet that they’re banking on. And many of their people who are coming there are doing some work while they’re there. If you’ve seen the sites there, many are, we’re talking, the most expensive sites in the country, up on the Ridge with very nice, luxury homes and things in the park.

So anyhow, they have touted their high-speed internet. They have 400 by 400 service, which is really, really good. Many of your parks are probably touting five by one, one by one, or even less than one. So check out how your internet speeds affect the guests that come to your park. Remember to tell people that your internet speeds have been upgraded in the last year or two. You may have guests who are there who don’t realize that your internet speed is better, and you may have people who’ve never been to your park because they don’t know that your internet speeds have been improved. So check it out. Here’s a little sample of what they sent me, and you can see how you can use your email speed in advertising your park.
